25th Anniversary Season: Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance
Baryshnikov Arts Center/DiMenna, NYC
July 8 & 9, 2025 @ 8pm
Honored to be returning as a dance artist inVeiled and Ru with the company of Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance this year. I performed with CLD for many seasons including the very first one in 2000. It has been wonderful to get into the studio with fellow artists, a masterful choreographer, original music compositions and a process that feels like home to my body and spirit. Spring 2025 Series: Contemplative Arts-in-Practice x The Drawing Center, NYC Exhibition TBD
April 16, 2025
Students enrolled in my Yoga: Paths of Practice and Consciousness course at New York University will return to the gallery to meet with me and collaborator, Aimee Good, for an onsite class. We will immerse in the work and process of the artist(s) in exhibition and discover new tools and pathways toward developing one’s personal art practice.
Restaging: Night Wind Woman
Night Wind Woman was the first solo I choreographed and performed for the NYU Tisch Dance main stage in 1996. Recently, I was ruminating on this piece and decided it was time to restage it as a more mature woman and performer. I asked vocal artist/composer Lauren Lane to collaborate with me in bringing Night Wind Woman to life in a new way. Lauren has been working on an original score and I have been reworking the choreography. In Fall 2024, we plan to get into the studio together and mold things from there towards a future performance TBD.
